Class Description

 

For some students learning to dance is a long-term commitment and for others it may be a recreational activity, for any type of student the rewards are not immediately evident. It is essential for parents and students to appreciate this process. As a student develops in strength maturity, we at 2 Dance Studio understand the importance of designing a program that highlights a student’s interest and needs.  The instructors at 2 Dance Studios will strive to combine challenging technique with a sense of fun and personal achievement.

 

 

Cheerleading: Everyone wants to be a Cheerleader! We offer great training from basic to advanced movement in Showdance/ cheer,  Songleading/Pom and All-Star Jazz Dance. Stances, dances, stunt, and tumbling are taught. Focusing on proper technique, body alignment, muscle awareness, precision, synchronization, and proper use of the voice and diaphragm. All routines are taught to age appropriate music. Prepare yourself for the next try-outs.

 

Tumbling: Tumbling is the creation and control of Momentum. The abilities enhanced by participation in a tumbling program are fundamental to movement in general. A tumbling program helps to prepare its participants for many different active physical pursuits. Tumbling provides a rich range of experiences win which children learn to confidently perform novel and often initially frightening stunts. Wholehearted and active participation by the student is likely to form a positive sense of self-reliance in demanding physical situation. Tumbling class is designed to teach skills such as rolls, handstands, limbers, walkovers, handsprings and aerials.

 

Tap: A style of dance where rhythmic sounds are created by the feet. Students will learn intricate rhythms and patterns, working with talented instructors to develop their own tap style.
